Board Applicant Tests Residency Requirements
Posted 12-15-07
Having ruined Treasure Island's tourist industry and business community, members of the Treasure Island City Commission are now setting their sites on running the local volunteer manned City review boards into the ground.
The constant negative nit-picking of the obstructionist backed Commission has stopped any desire the average Treasure Island resident might have to get involved in the community or volunteer for any civic service. Faced with no applicants for vacant board seats the Commission is receiving applications from volunteers who live in other communities. Recently the Commission received an application from an individual with a phone number with a New Jersey area code and a residential address located in Gulfport.
Faced with no one to fill vacancies on the City Boards the Commission is doing what this Commission does best, nothing.
Gulf Beach News has learned that the Commission has received one new application to fill one of the vacancies. Though it is unclear whether the applicant actually lives in Treasure Island or even if the applicant is an American citizen, he is after all still breathing.
Claiming his name is "Bob" and that he is a citizen of the world and therefore a citizen of Treasure Island, "Bob" has applied to become a member of Treasure Island's Planning and Zoning Board. On his application, "Bob" claims he has extensive experience in obstructionism and claims any project or plan brought before will be dismissed as an attempt by “Arrogant powers who are intended to make local and national economy of other states bankrupt to make more benefits from establishment of a big market”
Sounds like he'll fit right in.
