Mid-Century Modern Hotel Resources

"As many of you know, I have been actively promoting Treasure Island’s present economic opportunity to take advantage of its nationally renown Mid-Century Modern hotel and motel historic resources. Although the world recognizes Treasure Island for these true "treasures", many local residents and businesses do not understand the value they represent to Treasure Island’s economic future."

Even though we have disagreed with Heidi on everything including from what direction the sun rises, we find ourselves agreeing with her on these points.
Why not continue to run Treasure Island into the ground.
Why not turn Treasure Island into some sort of 50's theme park that will turn away younger vacationers destroying any future customer base from which our tourist industry can count on in order to survive.
Why not continue to live in a fantasy world where the whims of a handful of individuals over shadow sound economic planning.
Why not have our tourist industry compete with every hick town in the country that has a"Mid-Century Modern hotel".
Why not change the City's name from Treasure Island to The Twilight Zone.
