Treasure Island's Flying Car

Treasure Island resident Ogg Oggilby got the thrill of a life time when Ogg lost control of his car while leaving the parking deck of Treasure Island's tallest building, the Treasure Sands Condominium, sending Ogg's car flying through Treasure Island's tropical sky.

Ogg was leaving the second floor of the Treasure Sands parking garage heading towards Gulf Blvd. when Ogg evidently confused the gas peddle with the brake peddle. Thinking he was pushing on the brake peddle to slow down Ogg actually pressed the gas peddle sending Ogg and his car crashing through a concrete wall and sailing into the blue sky of a Treasure Island morning.

Ogg and his car eventually ended up in the vacant lot next to the Treasure Sands, unharmed, but embarrassed.

Gulf Beach News hired dare devil driver,The Great McGonigle, to re-enact the incident for the benefit of our readers. Below are actual photographs of The Great McGonigle's death defying stunt.
