Pot What?
T I Beach Bums investigative reporters have learned from unnamed sources deep within the federal law enforcement agency that the Department of Drug Enforcement, better known as the DEA, is conducting a wide spread investigation of the City of Treasure Island’s government and the City’s upcoming 50th anniversary celebration.
According to T I Beach Bums sources, the DEA was tipped off to possible a large scale illegal drug operation which is to take place later this month under the auspices of being a City sponsored 50th anniversary event. The lead agent in this investigation has acquired a secretly published flyer which openly advertises an evening of illegal drug use sponsored by the City of Treasure Island and to be held on City owned and operated property.
The flyer appears to be an innocent advertisement for a public celebration. Under closer examination of the flyer, trained DEA agents were able to unravel the complicated code used by the high level drug lords who are suspected of actually being behind the City’s anniversary celebration. DEA agents were able to find the same code words as used in the Treasure Island flyer also being used in similar flyers produced in Columbia.
T I Beach Bums has been able to obtain a copy of the deciphered flyer which clearly shows the code words and their actual meanings. Our sources have reported to T I Beach Bums that the first tip that there were illegal drugs involved in Treasure Island’s celebration was the use of the word “Pot” in the name of one of the City’s main anniversary event. DEA sources claim that the “POT luck a palooza” is actually a code phrase for a massive outdoor marijuana party to be held on the lawn of the City’s civic center. Other code words used in the flyer include "grass" and "crackin". Both phrases are widely used by street level narcotics dealers and users.
T I Beach Bums urges anyone planning to attend the event to have the entire family watch the highly acclaimed and scientifically accurate movie "Reefer Madness" prior to arrival in order to recognize the effects of marijuana on the human mind.
