Pass The Buck

Members of the Treasure Island City Commission will be traveling to Los Angeles within the next month to appear on national television.

T I Beach Bums has learned that the Treasure Island City Commission has been selected to compete in a new game show which begins production shortly after the first of the New Year. The game show features City Governments from across the nation competing between one another for title of Local Government of the Year.

The competing City government teams were chosen based on their individual governing track records with special attention being paid to the governing body’s ability to make a decision.

Producers of the game show have told T I Beach Bums that they reviewed the governing records of nearly 200 legislative bodies throughout the nation. Based on the review, the Treasure Island City Commission’s inability to make a decision was ranked best or worst depending on your point of view. Because of their nation leading ranking, the Treasure Island City Commission will be featured on the very first show.

The new game show will be called “Pass The Buck”. The game is based on a question and answer format with points awarded on speed and quality of the answer. T I Beach Bums was able to acquire a sample of questions that will be asked during the course of the game.

“If a group of residents want a traffic light at a downtown intersection do you;

Make a decision.

Let a group of civic leaders decide for you

The correct answer yelled out by all the members of the Commission is “PASS THE BUCK” and let the civic leaders decide.

“If a majority of residents want to maintain their Police Department do you;

1. Make a decision.
2. Put it on the ballot of the next City election and let the people decide.

The correct answer yelled out by all the members of the Commission is “PASS THE BUCK” and let it go to City wide vote.

Las Vegas insiders have already picked the Treasure Island City Commission as the odds on favorite to be ‘PASS THE BUCK” champions.

The show will be available locally in Treasure Island on TITv15 on Tuesday nights the Commission doesn’t meet to really “PASS THE BUCK”.
